Vance Ronald Woods, age 56, formerly of Modesto, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017. He was born in South Dakota where his father was stationed in the Air Force as a staff Sergeant. They remained there for three years and then transitioned on to Berkeley and finally residing in Union City, CA in 1970.While in Union City, he attended James Logan High School and graduated in 1980. Vance had many interests from loving all animals, scuba diving, sky diving, fishing, rare mint grade coin collecting and of course doting on all children that he encountered. He went on to become a member of the Pipe Fitters Local Union 342 where he began his career in 1990. Vance also enjoyed spending time with his family and regularly gathered his loved ones together to take photographs of special events for everyone to cherish.

Preceded in death by his father, Alfred Woods. He is survived by his mother; Claudine Woods, his brothers; Gregory Woods, Anthony Kevin Woods, Sr., Darron Alfred Woods, Kyle Duane Woods and his wife, Tami, and numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

His carefree and kind spirit will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
