Obituary For Thomas H. Lopez

Entered into rest on July 12, 2013 in Fremont, CA at the age of 93. Predeceased by his wife of 52 years Rose Lopez in 1994. Beloved father of Annie Boyle and her husband James, Irene Pina and her husband Sip, Daniel Lopez and his wife Idaliz, John Lopez, and Vincent Lopez. Treasured grandfather of James and Patricia Boyle, Bernadette and Chris Baskett, Andrea Boyle, Brian Pina, Daniel and Ruby Lopez, and Debra Pina. Loving great-grandfather to Brianna, Daniel, DeAnna, Abbey, and Ellie. Caring brother to Mary Baker, Lupe Schroeder, Louise Rivera, Doris Ziegler, and Manuel Lopez.

Born December 21, 1919 in Council Bluffs, IA, Tom self-taught himself how to play the bass, harmonica, and accordion. He was a member of the Hayward Area Senior Center and every Monday he played drums in the band there. He was also a member of the Fremont Senior Center and enjoyed dancing there every week. Tom loved gardening, the Oakland A's, watching westerns on T.V., and spending time with his family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 17, from 4-8pm with a Vigil at 7pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 18, 10am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 37891 2nd St., Fremont, CA 94536. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.
