On Monday, August 2, 2021, Sidronio Gomez Sierra, loving Brother of 8, Father of 4 and Grandpa of 6 passed away at age 61. He was preceded in death by both his parents and survived by all his siblings including his lifelong best friend and brother Carlos Gomez. Survived by his 4 children, Sidronio Jr., Angelica, Gloria and Jesus. His 6 grandchildren, Samuel, Jazmin, Octavio, Esteban, Yuliana, and Esmeralda will forever carry him in their hearts and remember the unconditional love he gave them.
Sidronio born on April 14, 1960, 5th child of total 9, to Sidronio Gomez Nuñez and Ma Del Consuelo Sierra Figueroa spent his life loving, raising and working for his family. He immigrated at age 17 to the USA in hopes of providing his family with a better life, the same year he lost his father, along with his brother and best friend, Carlos Gomez. Cement Mason by trade, he dedicated 44 years of his life to the industry to ensure his family was provided for. He wanted his family to have opportunities at their hands he could only dream of and in the process contributed to many buildings, hospitals and stadiums all over the state of California. Not only was he a hard worker but had an enormous heart. He loved his family over everything and had all the love of his 6 grandchildren as well as had the title of “second father” to many of his nieces and nephews. He was known for his charismatic wit, easy going personality and famous sayings. He had a way of saying things to make time with him enjoyable in good times and bad.
Visitation will take place on Friday, Aug. 13 at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA from 5-8pm with a Rosary at 6pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Aug. 14 at Corpus Christi Church, 37891 2nd St., Fremont, CA at 12pm. Burial to take place in Mexico.
