Born March 9, 1939 in Modesto, CA and entered into rest on February 8, 2014 in Newark, CA at the age of 74. Beloved mother of Sheri Flister and her husband Daryl of Newark, and Saundra Keister of Newark. Cherished grandmother of Joshua and his wife April, Suzanne and her husband Gerard, Timmothy and his wife Elizabeth, Shayla, and Sarah and her husband Joseph. Loving great-grandmother to Bailey, Silus, Dallas, Brody, and Claire. Caring sister to Scott Bugna of Tustin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Larry Keister on June 5, 2008.

Sharon attended Hayward High School where she met and married her husband Larry. They purchased a home in Newark and raised two girls. They were married for 50 years until Larry’s passing in 2008.

Sharon enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was very active in her girl’s activities as they were growing up. In 2001 both Sharon and her husband retired and purchased a Motor Home where they began traveling the country. This was something she enjoyed and could not wait to share their adventures with the children and grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held for Sharon on Thursday, February 20, 1pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536.

I met Sharon several years ago through Pat Montgomery. They were best friends. Pat and Sharon had date night and they loved to go out for a steak dinner. She was a very sweet, kind lady with a big heart that truly loved her family very much! She will be missed very much by all that knew her. Cheryl Loriaux
