Samuel passed away October 27, at the age of 85, surrounded by all his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Samuel was born in Jaripitiro, Huaniqueo Michoacan, Mexico to Tomas Carranza and Ma. Socorro Garcia Carranza. In 1959 he migrated to California from Mexico.
He leaves behind his children: Gaspar Carranza, Elida Carranza, Alma Carranza, Elia Loza, Yadira Santillan and Miguel Carranza. His loving grandchildren are Lorena Carranza, Juan Carranza, Raquel Carranza, Jesus Reyes, Robert Reyes, Angel Rodriguez, Nataly Loza, Marcos Loza, Joshua Santillan, Briana Santillan, Danny Santillan and Gissel Carranza Rose. His great-grandchildren Lily Reyes, Emily Reyes and Enzo Santillan. He was preceded in death by his wife Raquel Carranza.
