Obituary For Sam Lopez Ayala
Samuel Lopez Ayala born January 5, 1929 passed January 23 2019 in his sleep at his residence of the last four years, Senior Care Village in Loomis, CA. He was born to Miguel and Antonia Ayala in Niles, CA. He was a native California and very proud of it. He follows his wife of 57 years to their Eternal Resting Place, Irma Ayala and his only son Samuel Junior who passed away in 1972. He also joins his parents and siblings.
He was proud to serve in the United States Army from 1951-1952 and sustained an injury on Jonah Hill, which earned him the brown star and Purple Heart. He was a proud member of AA for over 60 years where he mentored many suffering from the disease of alcohol. He was a successful business man and a truly humble and devout Catholic. His past times were very simple watching his favorite movies, the Old Commandment, Ben Hur, Braveheart, and of course Sergeant York. He is survived by his daughters, Lee Ayala and Cindy Lopes. His grandchildren Kelley Ryan, Samantha and Joseph. His siblings, Teresa Escobedo and Tony Ayala.
Visitation will be held from 5:00PM – 8:00PM Thursday, January 31, 2019 with a Rosary at 6:30PM, Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont. A Mass will be held Friday, February 1, 2019 at 11:00AM, Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 37891 2nd Street Fremont. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, 26320 Mission Blvd., Hayward.
