Rupee was a very loving, warm and kind person. I have a lot of beautiful memories of her since my childhood. In the last one month we have spoken almost every other day for long periods of time and these conversations are going to be the best best memories of her which I would like to cherish through out my life.
Rupee was the happiest in her last few months of her life and this is what will help all of us to get some solace. We will all miss her very very much.
May her soul rest in peace!

Anjali Godbole
Rupee,
This is Anjuakka.
We were the only 2 daughters of Aai Baba. We never played together as I was 7 years elder to you so I looked after you as my baby sister. After I got married you used to wait for your vacations to come to our place at the Air force stations. You used to dote on Anupama and Smita and and call them princess. When Rahul was born, you got married to Padam and went far away from us to USA. We could not meet often. We could only write Aerogrammes to eachother. It was hard on all of us.
You came to India for your delivery to India when Vasudha was born in 82. Aai Baba used to visit you and used to stay with you for long time as you had got Green Card for them. Aai had a special soft corner for you being the yougest and always wanted to be with you.
Just last year, Vasudha got married to Kaustubh and you were on top of the world. Since their wedding you were looking so happy and contended to see that Vasudha has got a very caring husband .
Rupee, Only good persons are fortunate to get this kind of journey to heaven. We pray to God that He keeps you happy and you rest in bliss for ever. You are going to be with us forever.

Pushpak Godbole
This is Pushpak,
Rupa has been an extremely affectionate person. We had wonderful days with her when she visited us on all the Air Force bases that we were posted when she was still in school and college. Both Anupama and Smita carry fond memories of her during her visits as their most loving maushi.
Although distance separated us after marriage, we knew that the same affection existed. The close knit family bonds were experienced when we were able to visit them about a year and a half back and we indeed carry wonderful memories of our stay.
Both Padam and Vasudha have given her all the affection she deserved and its going to be hard on them.
May God rest her soul in peace.
