Obituary For Rosa Vitorina DaSilva
Born December 29th, 1922 in Sao Jorge, Azores, and entered into rest on September 24th, 2016 in Fremont, California at the age of 93. Devoted wife of 57 years to Rogerio DaSilva of Fremont. Beloved mother of Maria Moreira (Joao - deceased) of Fremont, Joao Camara (Alexandrina) of San Jose, Manuel Camara (Teresa) of San Jose, and Maria Margarido (Frank - deceased) of Wellington, NV. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 2nd, from 1-5pm with a Vigil at 3pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 3rd, 11:30am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 37891 2nd St., Fremont, CA 94536. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.

My Avó was the most generous person I've ever encountered. I loved her so much. She was a second mother to me. My mom would go to work at 5:30am and when I would wake up, I'd head over to her house for breakfast every morning before school. After school, she would always have a snack for me to eat and watch my cartoons. We loved watching Woody Woodpecker and Tom & Jerry and Alvin & the Chipmunks together. She would sometimes pull out her camera and want me to pose with different items around the house. She taught me how to knit and crochet. I learned how to read Portuguese at her house. I loved helping her make bread or rosquilhas or espécie. I will miss her smile and her laugh but I will never forget them. Adoro-te Avó - Sua Borboleta
