Robert N. Creveling, age 67, died March 26, 2015 at Washington Hospital due to health complications.

Robert is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mai Creveling; his daughter Tammi Renner and husband EJ; his son Norm Creveling and his wife Michelle. He also is survived by his grandchildren Matthew, Chelsea, Amber, Nathan, Jessica, Danny, Tony, Journi and Bostyn; along with his great grandchildren Dezi, Casey, Dominic, Ellianna, Gavan, Dylan, Olivia, Wyatt, Cassidee and grand dog Scuba.

Robert grew up in Southern California, son of Norman and Margaret and step son of Mary Creveling. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served as an Army Ranger from 1968-1972, earning several medals including the Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal, and Armed Forces Honor Medal. His patriotism and drive to never give up he learned as a Ranger never left him, as friends and family will attest. He always led the way.

Following his time in the Army he worked in the finance industry working for various financial institutions finally retiring as Sr Vice President of Bank of California. After his retirement, he got his second wind and volunteered holding several roles including Chairman of Fremont Senior Citizens Commission, President of The Mended Hearts, member of Celebrate Fremont Steering Committee, member of St. Joseph Men’s Club, Vice Chairman of Fremont Citizen’s Advisory Committee (CDBG Funding), Chairman of Fremont Senior Center Facilities Committee, Member of Fremont Paratransit Committee, and member of Alameda County Grand Jury.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 13, from 5-8pm with a Vigil at 6:30pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 14, 10am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 43148 Mission Blvd., Fremont, CA 94539. Burial will follow at 2:30pm at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Rd., Dixon, CA 95620.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Robert to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The American Cancer Society.
