Obituaries

Robert Carl McCombie, 88, joined the Lord on June 24th, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother John Edward McCombie, his first wife Betty, second wife Patricia Ann, and son Robert McCombie II. Survived by several nieces and nephews including Sharon Wiese, Dell Magnuson-Secor, Michele Snow, John Marshall McCombie II, Mark Edward McCombie, Peter Snow, and Diane Snow.

We will miss his wit, generosity and love of life.

Born in Winterset, Iowa on May 19th, 1927, son of pharmacist Harry Edward McCombie and homemaker Ivy Belle McCombie. Long-time resident of Fremont, Bob "the Captain" frequented Dinos Restaurant, Fremont Bank, and Elks Lodge. Careers include serving the U.S. Navy for 22 years in Europe and Eastern U.S., 12 years as dispatcher for the Fremont P.D., and several years in Lockheed-Martin Security.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 18th, 2015, 1pm, at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536.
