We so enjoyed working with Bob. Bob's enthusiasm and passion for his work was contagious. He always made us smile and look forward to our time together. We know Bob is smiling and sending loving thoughts our way, just as we send them to him and his loved ones.

It's Ok To Go You were sick and tired and we all knew, that God would soon come to take you. You fought so hard, so very long, but through the pain, you stayed strong. We all knew there would come a day, when God would come to carry you away. It doesn?t make it easier to say goodbye,... and I try so hard not to cry. I can?t help but feel defeated, or even maybe a little cheated. But how very selfish would I be, to hope and pray you could stay with me. So as you laid there I had to tell you "It's ok to go". Say "Hi" to loved ones waiting on the other side. I know some day; you'll be there when I take that ride. I Found This poem on the web And Loved It Because This Is How I'm Feeling At The Time... I Will Miss You Alot And Never Forget You Thank You For Being There For Me When I Need You Most And For Making Me The Man I'am Now Not Every Kid Is Lucky To Have Two Great DAD'S & Now I Have One Watching Over Me From Gods Kingdom And Hear On Earth And Let Me Pay You Back By Watching Over My MOM With My Sisters & Family As We Try To Keep Her As Happy As You Did THANKS.... LOVE YOU DAD FOREVER IN MY HEART AND NEVER FORGOTTEN LOVE ALWAYS THE RODAS FAMILY Jessie, Sheena, Izabella Denise, Samantha, Sophia R.I.P Robert A Carothers 8/31/1940 To 8/31/2013

Bob was always a great comfort to have "in your court" when it came time to deal with the tax agencies. We valued and appreciated his help for many years and will miss him!

Bob, my dear friend for more than 60 years is gone. I will never forget this man. Bob could always be counted on for everything. He was such a friendly guy and a great organizer. We worked together on our Arroyo High School (class of 58)San Lorenzo reunions. Years ago, as Bob got serious about school and becoming the great CPA that he was, he used to come up to Placerville in his motor home and do the tax returns for me (and for a good portion of the Placerville Police Officers). It was a constant parade of cars and families visiting the house and people going in and out of that motor home getting their work done by Bob. Bob met the greatest love of his life..CiCi and was a changed man. We did hot rods, car building, car clubs, played cards in our teen years. Those card games continued with other friends over the years. Friends like Steve Makinka, Danny Lopez, Marty Bergersen...all classmates from Arroyo. I know I missed other players too. Bob was never going to retire. He loved his work and his clients way too much to do so. In his last weeks, while taking radiation and chemo therapy he told me that he was still working with his office staff to see that his customers were taken care of. His work ethic was above reproach. His staff and partners loved the guy..and with good reason. Bob was an example for all of us to emulate. My great old friend, Bobby,in his own words summed up his life perfectly: "It was a good ride." Bob: may God Bless and Keep You Pal, and may He bring peace and comfort to your loving wife Cici and your families. Richard "Dick" Lockwood, Chief of Police Retired Jackson, CA And my Wife Kerry D. Dear Cici and Family, I recently heard about Bob's passing and am very saddened. Bob was a very wonderful and kind person, and a well-known and respectable tax accountant in the community. I always looked forward to my annual tax appointment with Bob, because I knew that my questions would always be answered correctly and thoroughly, and in a professional manner. He was also very upbeat and treated me more like a friend than a client. I remember he told me how much he loved his work and his clients, and that he was having too much fun to retire. He truly loved his profession, and it showed in his positive attitude and smile every time I saw him. I truly miss this man-there are not too many people like him. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. Julia Barma

To CiCi and family, It was my pleasure to work for Bob for over 15 years. He always had time to praise my work and gave me comfort when I was down. He was a great boss and friend. The following I wrote after my husband had passed 6 years ago and I wanted to share it with you. Please find some comfort in it. The man lay on his dying bed. His family was gathered around him. As they said their last goodbyes he was so weak he could hardly be heard. Suddenly he raised his arms and shouted "Hallelujah, praise the Lord, his chariot comes for me. Then lowering his arms he said in a whisper, Now don't you cry and don't you mourn because some day it will be you who shouts, Hallelujah, praise the Lord, his chariot comes for me. When you arrive at the pearly gates I will be there to welcome you and with the heavenly choir I will sing, Hallelujah, praise the Lord, his chariot has brought you home. All my love and happy memories, Mary K. Payne

I will miss Bob very much. He was so patient and kind. I would look forward to my tax meeting every year. Bob was always quick to respond to all my endless questions and he never made me feel bad no matter how many times I would ask the same question. He was very good at explaining everything. I felt very confident in taking his tax and business advice. Bob, you will be missed.

Dear Cici and family, I so looked forward to seeing Bob at tax time. He always talked to me as a friend more than a client and cared about me and my family. When I lost my wife this May he reached out to comfort me. It is hard to lose someone you love and were so close to. I know what you are going through and can only pray for you and send along my deepest sympathy for your loss.
