Obituary For Robert Anthony Benavides Jr.

Robert Anthony Benavides, Jr "Tito" went on to be with the Lord on Friday, February 11, 2022. His wife, Andrea Benavides, whom he had married in 2018 and loved for 24 years was by his side along with their two children, Robert and Angelo Benavides.

In his passing, he is reunited with Grandparents, Roberto Benavides, Ruth Benavides, Adela Legaspi and Eugenio Legaspi, nephew Keoki Diaz as well as his best friend Andrew Muñoz. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Robert Benavides, Sr & Wanda Legaspi, sister and brother-in-law Cristina & Andrew Lapachet, mother-in-law and father-in-law Mary & Fred Diaz, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Priscilla & Thomas Hackett, niece & God daughter Leila Hackett, nieces Isadora & Natalia Lapachet, nephews Thomas Hackett Jr. and Giovanni & Andrew Lapachet, Jr. and God son Isaiah Muñoz. He also left behind aunts, uncles, many cousins, friends, football players and fans.

Tito spent his years proudly residing in the Decoto district of Union City, CA, where he was always quick to advocate and support for his community. He was a volunteer & coach for U.C. Colts youth football when his boys played. Even after he and his family relocation to Patterson, CA, he regularly returned to coach his son's football team at James Logan High School where he too once played football and four years of Varsity soccer.

He was an all-star soccer player, even spending a month traveling through multiple countries in Europe representing Team USA at the age of 13. He spent years as a member of the state and Olympic Development teams. He was also a very talented artist, both on paper and in the studio. He had an extensive fan base that he held a great appreciation for, even once he moved on to XPO Logistics where he became a respected manager. But first and foremost, he was a devoted and immensely loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, coach and friend. A wonderful man! His legacy will live on through his children as well as his music.

Our family would like to send our sincere gratitude for all of the prayers, positive energy and love that you all have extended.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the GoFundMe the family has sent up to assist in addressing medical expenses.
