Robert Freitas of Fremont, CA, passed away peacefully on Jan. 19, 2014 at the age of 79.

Robert was born in Oakland, CA on Aug. 30, 1934. He worked as a Machinist for Lockheed for over 35 years. Robert enjoyed working on classic cars, playing and watching sports, and spending time with his family. He was also actively involved in coaching youth baseball.

Robert married Kathleen on April 22, 1956; they were married for 57 years.

Robert is survived by his sons, Mike and David; his wife, Kathleen; his grandchildren, Nicole, Michael, Valerie, and Kristin; his five great grandchildren; his brothers, Edward L. and Donald; and the rest of his family and friends.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Edward J. and Faye; his sister, Fay; and his loving daughter, Karen Luallin.

He will be remembered for his rye sense of humor, his love and commitment to his family, and for being a good provider.

A Memorial Service will be held for Robert on Saturday, February 15, 1pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536.
