Obituary For Raul Vazquez Zavala
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Raul Vazquez Zavala, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this life surrounded by family. Raul was a man of quiet strength, unwavering dedication, and deep love for his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Nelda Vazquez (Garza), with whom he shared 50 cherished years together. Together they built a strong and loving family that was always at the center of Raul’s life.
He leaves behind his three daughters, who were the pride of his heart: Veronica Houck (Richard), Valerie Vazquez, and Victoria Vazquez (Alek Ross). Raul’s legacy continues through his grandchildren: Elyjah, Hailey, Nathyn, Audrina, Mariyana, and Marius Jr., each of whom brought him great joy and whom he loved deeply. He is survived by his siblings Jose, Santiago, Uriel, Baltazar, Rigoberto, Maria and Elisa. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Jesus and Maria, and his sisters, Anita, Ana Maria, Edelmira, and Hermelinda.
A man of many talents and hobbies, Raul had a lifelong love for archery, hunting, and working on cars—interests he gladly shared with anyone willing to listen or learn. One of his recent joys was acquiring an El Camino, which he took great pride in restoring and cruising around in. He had a special place in his heart for his loyal dog, Benny, and never missed a chance to spoil him—as well as his beloved “grand-dogs,” who were just as much a part of the family in his eyes.
Raul will be remembered for his kind spirit, strong values, and the quiet wisdom he shared with those around him. His presence brought comfort, and his guidance helped shape the lives of those he loved.
While he may be gone from our sight, Raul’s memory and the love he gave will forever remain in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege to know him.
May he rest in peace.

I met Raul when I was in 6th grade he was a new student, and i helped him with math. He was shy but nice and we used to kick a ball back and forth during recess. He will be greatly missed but he has the resserction hope.

My heart is breaking for the whole family. Raul was such a fun, loving guy. I'm glad he finally got to see San Antonio. He lived a full life and his family loved him .May he rest in peace and may God strengthen and bless his family during this very difficult time. Love you all.
