Obituaries

Priscilla Vaughn was born on April 7, 1952, to the late Mary Net Finnie Vaughn and Johnnie James Vaughn in Redwood City, CA.

Priscilla entered our Lord‘s Kingdom Of Heaven, gaining her wings, and rejoining her heavenly family on December 29, 2022, at the age of 70.

Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers; Masfield Vaughn, Daniel (Mario) Vaughn, and Paul Christopher Vaughn; and four sisters: Manila Vaughn, (Nettie) Sue Vaughn, Laura Vaughn Allen, and Ana Dell Vaughn; former husband Vernon Lee Perkins, and Orel Price, Jr.

Priscilla was a devoted and compassionate mother and grandmother, who believed in the Lord’s power and will. She was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children. Anyone who knew them knew that her children meant the world to her, and she meant the world to them. She taught her kids and grandkids that getting and continuing their education was a top priority and to never give up on their dreams. She was a strong willed and resilient person with a big heart who never let obstacles get in the way of her achieving her goals. She would always try to help others that needed help, as she believed that you should always treat people the way you would like for them to treat you. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends hosting barbecues and cookouts while listening to music. She was the person who always kept the family together. Priscilla also enjoyed opening and running her own beauty supply businesses (Discount Beauty Supply, and Hip-Hop Fashions & Hair Stuff) as a way to give back to the community.

She leaves behind to cherish her love and memory four children: Petina R. Perkins, Tavaris A. Perkins, Tasheana J. Price, and Orel Price III of Palo Alto, CA. She is also survived by her dear younger sister, Ms. Mary Martha Vaughn Gardner of Sacramento, CA. Also cherishing her loving memory are three grandchildren: Sheyanna H. Benton, Adrian Perkins, and Gerkayla Britt, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

While our beloved Priscilla left us too soon, her presence will always be felt in the hearts of her loved ones, and she will be greatly missed.

Homegoing Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536.
