Philip passed one June 10, 2022. He was born and raised in Niles, California. Philip had 8 siblings, 2 remaining. He lived in Newark all of his adult life. He worked for Leslie Cargill Salt for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty for over 40 years. He had 3 children, 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He loved to travel, go to concerts, local plays, Mariachi Music, watching college sports, especially girls’ basketball. He coached little league baseball during the 1970’s for 13 years. He loved to go fishing, even traveling as far as Alaska to fish. He very much enjoyed fishing with his grandson could join.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont. Funeral Mass on Friday June 17, 2022 10:00 AM at St. Edwards Catholic Church, 5788 Thornton Ave, Newark. A private Burial with his children and grandchildren only will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family will be collecting donations for LOV-Newark a favorite charity of his. There will be a box at Fremont Memorial Chapel to collect cards and donations.
