Pedro “Pete” Saenz Jr, 68, of Manteca, California, passed away January 18th, 2023 peacefully in Manteca .

He was born in Oakland, California, to Ylaria and Pedro Saenz on March 23rd, 1954. He grew up in Fremont and lived in the Manteca area, for 26 years and was the youngest of six children. He attended Irvington High School and had 2 beautiful children with Eileen Nancy Jones: Marcella and Andy.

He worked many jobs including working with his dad Petes Construction Clean-up. He enjoyed watching movies, listening to music and talking with friends. He loved his family and made an appearance for every holiday. He was a devoted father and grandfather who created a nickname for everyone. His grandchildren were affectionately known as Monkey Girl and Logan Wolverine. He looked forward to visits from his daughter and grandkids and often cooked them delicious breakfasts on Sundays with lots of laughs and hugs. He had an amazing sense of humor and always had the best one-liners.

He is survived by his mother, Ylaria Saenz two brothers: Jose Saenz, Leo Saenz and one sister: Gloria Fierro; daughter: Marcella Straub; grandchildren: Brianna and Logan Straub; as well as beloved nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father Pedro Saenz, his brother Raymond Saenz, his sister Mary Helen Saenz and his son Andy Saenz.
