Obituary For Pedro Guadalupe Granados
Born December 12, 1927 in El Paso, TX, he moved to Oakland, CA in 1929. He was a longtime resident of Newark, CA with his soul-mate Mrs. Marie I. Sanchez. Lupe passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 13, 2014 at Washington Hospital in Fremont, CA.
Preceded in death by his parents: Pedro and Inez Granados; and his sisters: Adeline Vega, Jenny Leyva, and Ebelia Vargas. Survived by his siblings: Connie Grams, Rachel Ortiz, Trinidad Granados, Manny Granados, and Nicky Granados.
His hobbies included playing his guitar and singing his Mexican songs, and dancing. Lupe was truly a jack-of-all-trades and was extremely mechanically inclined. A man with a warm and caring heart for his entire family and friends. You will forever be in our hearts Hito, "Uncle Lupe".
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18, from 4-8pm with a Vigil at 6:30pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 19, 12:30pm at St. Edward's Catholic Church, 5788 Thornton Ave., Newark, CA 94560. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.
