Obituary For Nathan Orduño

Nathan Orduño, 44, of Union City, California, passed away on April 26, 2026.

Nathan was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, cousin, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Desiree Orduño; his sons, Nathan Orduño Jr. and Damon Orduño, of whom he was extremely proud and whom he loved deeply; his father, Richard Orduño; his mother, Kathleen Orduño; his stepmother, Patti Orduño; his sisters, Sarah Strader and her husband, Tommy Strader, and Nicole Orduño King and her husband, Ryan King; his stepbrothers, Ryan Wilcox and Jack Wilcox. He is also lovingly remembered by his grandmother, Norma Gazi; his mother-in-law, Melody Gomez; his sister-in-law, Rosanna Ortiz; his aunts, Deborah Gazi, Christina Price, and Mary Ellen Gurrola; his uncles, Nacho Orduño, Tommy Orduño, and David Gazi; his nieces and nephews: Ethan Born, Blake Born, Emma Born, Aubrey King, Autumn King, Kal-El Wilcox, Kara Wilcox, Cordelia Wilcox, and Josephine Wilcox; as well as many cousins and friends.

Nathan proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, completing two tours in Iraq. He deeply loved being a Marine and carried that pride with him throughout his life. He also held a special bond with his fellow Marines, whom he loved like family. His service reflected his strength, courage, and unwavering commitment to something greater than himself.

Above all, Nathan loved his family. He was the kind of person who would do anything for the people he cared about—always the first to show up when someone needed help, support, or simply a laugh. He had a unique sense of humor and was known for his ridiculous jokes that could lighten even the heaviest moments.

Nathan will be remembered for his loyalty, his selflessness, and the deep love he had for his wife and sons. His presence was a constant source of strength and comfort, and his absence leaves a space that can never be filled.

Condolences

Please accept my deepest condolences. Nathan was the real deal. I worked with him for the better part of 20-years. He was always the first to help out and along with a handful of others helped me get up to speed when I returned to the field after a hiatus. We put in many OT hours together over the years. He always spoke very of highly of his family and was tremendously proud of his wife and children. I'm thankful for the honor and privilege to get to know this man. He won't be forgotten. I'm sure he's keeping everyone in good spirits upstairs. Rest easy, my friend.

Oh Nathan! Such a beautiful boy that grew to be a fine young man and a pillar of strength to his family. Such a devoted dad and husband and son and brother. I doubt anyone ever looked more handsome in a Marine uniform. Loved by so many. My heart goes out to all family and friends. 🙏 Beverly Holding James
