Obituaries

Nancy Lee Rego, 84, peacefully made her transition to Heaven on the morning of October 14, 2018. She was surrounded by her loving family who brought her joy and peace in life. Nancy is survived by her devoted, childhood sweetheart and husband of 65 years, Ernest Rego. She was a steadfast and supportive mother to Julie Rego (Karen), Jannie Rego-Smith (Leroy), Joyce Rego (Rebecca), Jill Butler (Kerry) and Jody Putman (Steve). Dedicated grandmother to Jeff, Taylor, Hannah, Karalee, Dane and Hunter, as well as five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her beautiful sister Lyla Lloyd and many cousins, nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Lyle and Lucille Lloyd, and in-laws Manuel and Minnie Rego. Nancy’s quick wit, steel-trap memory and caring soul will be missed by all who knew her. She was truly a unique woman whose strong spirit and love of family will live on in all of our hearts.

Visitation will be held from 5:00PM – 08:00PM, Monday, October 22, 2018 with a Vigil Service at 6:00 PM, Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont.

A Holy Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 37891 2nd Street, Niles (Fremont). Burial to follow at Irvington Memorial Cemetery, 41001 Chapel Way, Fremont.
