Dear Sylvia, I saw this on FB. I am so very sorry for your loss. I know those words are said over and over, and I know how sometimes it feels empty to hear. But from the whole of my being, I am so very sorry. Love, Kathy

The first Latin band I ever joined in 1972 was known as "Jesse Robledo y Su Orquesta". We practiced at Mary's house in Union City. She was my Mom away from home. I truly miss her.

My favorite memory of her was back in 2004. She tried to get me to walk from the Embarcadero Bart stop to Fisherman's Wharf. I told her I couldn't make it. She laughed and said she did it a few times and it wasn't that bad. When I got on the street trolley and saw how far it was, I laughed and told her she would've had to carry me. Always full of life and energy. .

My family has been truly blessed to have known Mary. We have been Mary's tenants and neighbors for the last 3 years and could not have asked for a better land lady or friend. We will miss her beautiful soul.
