  I have known Mary a very long time. We go back to playing at the Newark Pavilion together as kids. Then walking to school and home from school together in Middle school, being side maids and queens for the Holy Ghost and all the fun at the card parties and dances. We grew up and I moved away but anytime I came home to visit, Mary would greet me with that beautiful smile and nothing but fond memories. Looking back, I don't think there was ever a time that I heard Mary speak negatively of anyone. She had a hard life and still smiled. We all have a lesson to learn from her, as we should all strive to be more like she was. It's a shame that she was so sad and broken hearted when she left us. She deserved more than life gave her. My only peace about any of this is that she is with Jesus and she has no recollection of her earthly pain. She is smiling and celebrating her homecoming with those gone before her. I love you Mary! May you rest in peace forever and ever. Amen!
