Obituary For Mary C. Pimentel

Mary C. Pimentel entered into rest surrounded by loving family after a long battle with Dementia on July 27, 2018. She was born in Vila Nova, Terceira Azores. March 16, 1944. She migrated to the United States on September 30, 1968. She worked for Western Paper Box Company in Hayward, CA for over 25 years. She was a past President and active member of PFSA Council #16 in Newark, CA. She attended St. Edward's Catholic Church in Newark, CA where she was a member of the Portuguese singing Choir. She was an avid reader and especially loved Danielle Steele novels, loved to travel back to her homeland to visit, and had a passion for Portuguese Carnaval dances and singing. Mary had such a beautiful voice.

She is survived and greatly missed by the love of her life of 50 years Frank P. Pimentel of Fremont, CA. Adored mother of Teresa P. Peixoto and husband Mark. Cherished mother to son Frank G. Pimentel and wife Doris. Loving grandmother to grandchildren Brandon Peixoto, Makayla Peixoto, Jayden Pimentel and Justin Pimentel. Beloved sister of Phyllis Stratford and husband Warren. Pre deceased loving sister Hilda P. Ormonde, wife of Frank Ormonde. She leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews, brother and sister in laws and great friendships.

Visitation will be on Wednesday August 1, 2018 from 5 to 8 PM at Fremont Memorial Chapel with Rosary at 7pm, 3723 Peralta Blvd, Fremont. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at St. Edward's Catholic Church, 5788 Thornton Avenue in Newark. Internment at her final resting place immediately following mass at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 26320 Mission Blvd in Hayward, CA.

In lieu of flowers the family asks to make donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital in her memory.

Maria was always such a loving person to me...her smile lit up the room and she was such a kind hearted person. We are going to miss you.     Love you Tia Maria. I remember as kids always going over to visit and all of us being bad as usual and her telling us “ don’t start” funny thing is I use that line with my kids all the time. Rest In Peace.
