I am writing this for my Son Brian who knew Maria. She was a wonderful influence and help during his own life battles. He met her at Community Connections and she was there to help and care for Brian as he struggled with his own issues. He is doing great now but the news of Maria brought sadness to his heart. He wanted to say how much he appreciate her concern and help. How she was a wonderful spirit that touched his soul. May God bless her always....Brian Hart

Maria had such a strong spirit, intensely motivated at work, moved through her day as a spiritual being with a surfers sense of life and nature! She made such a difference in peoples lives in the mental health world. She believed in the people she worked with and never judged or saw them as labels or diseased, she saw their humanness and worked tirelessly to help people find jobs...I will miss knowing that such a good and happy being is not longer among us. Maria, where ever you are may it be peaceful with lots of waves!

I worked with the beautiful girl. She was beyond kind and generous in every way. I am so sad for this loss to us all. I am thankful i got to meet her along her journey and so sad it was not long enough for us all. I love the quote from her friend Kim below. That is how I will always remember her in my heart. Much Love to you Maria

Honoring Maria. Maria was a kind and devoted colleague who walked gently on this earth. She helped struggling folks in the Mental Health system find jobs, and believed in them until they could believe in themselves. Maria loved to surf!!! She carried the ocean in her spirit. Wherever you are Maria, I hope there are awesome waves. :ocean::ocean::ocean: Peace be your journey. :tulip: Sending peace and comfort to her family and all who loved her.??

I was really saddened to hear about Maria. I had worked with her at Community Connections. She was my employment counselor and she was extremely supportive and nice. I know she meant a lot to a lot of people. She definitely will be missed.

Maria you are a very beautiful soul. I was lucky to cross your path at Costanoa when you worked with us. You were such a free spirited person, always smiling. I hope you are flying free and in a beautiful place dear girl.
