Obituary For Manjulaben Kantibhai Contractor

On Sunday, March 8, 2020, Manjulaben Kantibhai Contractor, loving mother of five children, passed away at the age of 82.

Manjulaben was born on April 11, 1937 in Chaklashi, India to Punjabhai and Dahiben Kachhia. She was married to Kantibhai Contractor at a young age and they raised two sons, Ashok and Haresh (Jayesh), and three daughters, Bharti, Daksha, and Jyotsna. She lost her husband when she was 48 and later moved to the United States in 1994.

Her interests included family gathering and cooking. Loving lady; beautiful, kind, patient and generous, welcomed everyone into her home and always had food made to share. She was a homemaker and devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members, including her father-in-law and a sister. Manjulaben was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.

Manjulaben was preceded in death by her parents, Punjabhai and Dahiben Kachhiya, husband Kantibhai G. Contractor, and her elder son Ashokbhai K. Contractor. She is survived by her four children, eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd, Fremont, CA 94536, followed by witness cremation at 1:00 p.m. at the Irvington Memorial Cemetery, 41001 Chapel Way, Fremont, CA 94538.

    For me , Manjulabhabhi was like my mother Ganga Ba . She always showed her unconditional love and support to me and all our Gangotri family.
