Lynn Marie Anderson, born June 8, 1963, in Castro Valley, California, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025, just shy of her 62nd birthday.

Lynn grew up in Fremont and attended Washington High School, where she made lifelong friends and developed a deep sense of empathy and curiosity about the world. She earned a degree in industrial psychology from Cal State Hayward and worked at The Warehouse during college, eventually becoming a manager. After several years in the high-tech industry, Lynn made a courageous and life-changing decision to pursue nursing.

In 2006, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from San Francisco State University and began her career as a registered nurse at Sequoia Hospital. She spent five years in the medical-surgical unit before moving to labor and delivery and postpartum care, where she found her greatest joy supporting families through life’s most meaningful moments. She retired in 2023, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and dedication.

One of Lynn's joys in life was to attend concerts with her friends. She had loved a variety of music and her favorite artists included Elvis Costello, Bruce Springsteen, U2, and The Who.

Lynn loved traveling and had memorable trips with friends and family to Ireland, England, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and New York City. She also loved to go to Hawaii and Mexico where she engaged in another one of her loves - scuba diving.

Lynn was a wonderful and caring daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was truly interested in everyone she met and had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and valued. She will be especially remembered for her warmth, her kindness, and the joy she brought into every room.

She is survived by her loving mother, Dorothy, and her brothers, Craig and Scott and their spouses Vania and Tonee and her nephew Orion.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lynn’s honor to a nursing scholarship fund that will be established in her name, to support and inspire future generations of compassionate caregivers.
