I met Lou back in 1991 and it was like we were instantly friends, I realize that Louie was like that with everyone and that's what makes him special. We worked in the taxi detail together and every day was a good day because Lou brought that out in all of us. Many times we'd joke around but there were also times where Lou was like a big brother to me offering advice and helping me deal with problems. I know Lou touched many lives and we're all better in some way for knowing him. It truly is our loss but it's heavens gain as Lou begins his journey there, I hope I'll see my friend again because life here will not be as funny without Lou Staffaroni in it. My deepest condolences to the Staffaroni family.

Who could forget his great laugh (especially at us during officer survival training on the range with Fifi and Portue). I made him 'nervous' on the range with our police training methods and in the army. We shared great times, many laughs, many laughs and happy times. Rest well, my friend. The 'Snake'

I first met Lou in 1975. I remember him because he was your friend right away, offering encouragement to a "new guy". My condolences to his family and may Lou rest in peace. Joe Reilly, Lt. SFPD (ret)

My dear, sweet Pappa Lou. You gave us all of you, always. Your love, wisdom, humor, kindness and food! You showed me what a real man and father should be. Something I'd never had before. Because of you, I was able to find and love my Scotty. I had so many trials and tribulations and you never wavered. You loved me no matter what. The love you gave to my Jori was so amazing to see. I thank you. My brother said it best....we lived like kings because of your hard work! My only regret is that you were not mine from day one. How blessed I am though to have you for all of the years I did. You loved and took such extraordinary care of my mother. I never worried about her because of you. I miss you so very much and I love you. Thank you, my dear, sweet Pappa Lou. Your daughter, Renée.

Lou was loved by everyone. He was a kind, generous, loving, sweet, considerate man who would make you laugh, feed you with delicious home-made pasta, ravioli, and anything else you wanted. Holiday dinners were memorable and delicious, or a quick spaghetti and clams. You name it, he cooked it and loved every minute of it. He lived life to the fullest and we had the honor of being with him just 2 weeks before he passed. Our hearts are broken but our memories of him will be forever with us. Rest in Peace dear friend. We love you. Dennis and Norma Libby

My Dearest Dad, Words can not express how much you meant to our family. You were our everything and I miss you so much. Thank you for your love, and providing us the best life. I am grateful for everyday growing up and every weekend we had as adults. We all lived like kings because of your hard work. I will forever treasure the time you spent with my boys. Thank you for all the boat rides and motorcycle rides that you gave my two boys. Seth and Sonny loved you so much. My only regret is that you did not have more time with Seth and Sonny. We are lost and empty without you but we will try to find our way. I love you always. Your son
