Obituary For Linda Redgrave

Linda Ann Redgrave, 67, took her last breath this New Years Day, January 1, 2024, in the comfort of her home and husband by her side.

Linda was born on July 10, 1956, in Oakland, CA. She and her brothers, Michael and Robert Dunn, were raised by Joan and William in San Leandro, CA. She attended Marina High School and later Chabot College. She attended Bryman College where she got her Medical Assistant certification. She spent her 40-year career as a Medical Assistant at San Jose Medical and Palo Alto Medical Foundation in Dermatology. She was invaluable to those she worked with and supported. She would always go the extra mile for her patients. During her sons’ school years, she was always there to help teachers make their educational experiences very special.

She met her husband, Thomas Redgrave, while accompanying her friend and soon-to-be sister-in-law, Cindy Redgrave, to pick him up at the airport. She loved to travel whenever she could and went on many trips together through the years, taking sons Christopher and Kevin Redgrave across the continent and the Atlantic. She took delight in many trips with family and friends as well. Her favorite places to visit were Hawaii and Europe.

Linda had a green thumb which proved a bountiful pastime that flourished as she entered retirement. She was in her element when she had her little helper and granddaughter, Aurora Redgrave’s, company while pruning and watering.

She cared for all pets, but her cats, Chloe and Mandy, will miss her most dearly. Once, while on a trip to Europe with her brother Michael, she photographed more cats than she did people.

Everyone who knew Linda would agree she always had a smile on her face and made everyone feel comfortable. She made friends everywhere she went.

Preceded in death by, Joan (mother), William (father) and Robert Dunn (brother).

Linda has been my wonderful neighbor for 30 plus years. She always had a great smile, a wave hello, asking how I & my family were everytime I would see her . I have many memories of she sharing her design ideas for her frontyard garden area. Lots of her favorite flowering plants, japanese maples, incorporating beautiful rock- lighting etc. Linda loved cats, especially her personal family kitties, they will miss her surely. I will say Linda's frontyard court area is beautiful, she did have a green thumb! Every time I look over at her home, I think of her ,I can hear her voice saying hello & waving hi ,seeing her watering, & checking on her beautiful garden. My family & I are deeply saddened by her passing. Peace to you my friend, you are missed. Sincerely, Bonnie & family.

We were always at Holy Spirit baseball fields every weekend for probably two r three years getting the fields ready! This one work weekend Linda showed up with several sandwiches and drinks for all of us! One of the kindest persons I know! Always thinking of someone else! Gone way too soon. You will be missed my friend. We have another angel looking down on us. My heart hurts, Georgia
