Josh was an awesome guy and I liked him from the first day I met him. He was a type of man that knew what he want to do in life. He came into my daughters life 9yrs ago and it was true love ever since. Josh I have lots of memories of you that I'll think on for along time. Thank you for coming into Desireé's life and making her so happy. I'm going to miss our Thursday night dinners together at our house cause they just won't be the same. You were the son that I never had and I love you for it. You will be missed Josh by all of us. Till we meet again.

Josh & I couldn't be more different in the eyes of the world. That didn't matter at all to us. Josh had a phenomenal sense of humor & everyday I came to work when he was off I was always bored. Though we grew up & went our separate ways, I think the feeling was mutual how when we crossed paths Josh & I knew we were still good friends. Friends like Josh are rare. I am grateful for the time we had, Josh. Thank you for all the fun climbing/rappelling trips & all the songs we used to sing in the shop! I will keep our friendship bright by staying close with your beautiful sister. I miss you friend. -Ed

I worked with Josh at America's Tire back in 2003 in Union City. It was Josh, Edgar Tapia, and Kendall Atkins. They were the super techs at that store. They were always challenging each other, pushing the other harder to get cars done. It wasn't long before Kendall and Edgar left, but Josh stayed. He liked the store and he loved working for Mike. He was a dedicated, humble guy. I would always look forward to his arrival at the shop after class, because there was no doubt he would get stuff done, and I always knew that the cars were being done safely. He worked hard and made me proud every day. It was happenstance that we met again in Hayward, some years later. I walked into the local store as he was coming out. It was great to run into him and I realized that he was living across the street from Holiday Bowl on Mission, and I was living down the street on Dixon St. on the other side. My memories of him are bright, filled with laughter, and he will be missed by me.

Every conversation with Kathleen either at work or having one of our four hour lunches included stories of our children.I know Josh will be greatly missed by his close knit family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers, Carol Avilla
