Entered into rest on November 17, 2013 in Fremont at the age of 87. Predeceased by his wife of 64 years Adelina de Luz Amaral Peixoto. Beloved father of Adelina Silva and her husband Jose Tavares Silva of Manteca, Leanor Tavares and her husband Francisco Tavares of Fremont, Jose Peixoto and his wife Aurelia Peixoto of Fremont, and Filiomena Ferro and her husband George Ferro of Newark. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 1 sister: Maria Melo of MA, and 1 nephew: Manuel Melo and his wife Brenda of MA.

Born on September 21, 1926 in Feteira, Faial, Azores to Antonio and Virginia Peixoto. He enjoyed gardening, cattle, and traveling. He was a very giving person and loved time spent with family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 20, from 5-8pm with a Vigil at 7pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 21, 10:30am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 37588 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.
