Grandma was always there for me and my sisters our whole lives. She was the backbone and strength of the family. I don't know who I'm going to stay up late with and talk on the phone for up to two hours, lol. She was such a great listener and always had something to say. She has been our biggest cheerleader when it comes to my kids and their milestones. She never doubted for one moment that they would succeed. But most of all thank you for not only being an amazing one of a kind grandmother, but also one of my best friends. Grandma, not a day will go by for the rest of my life that I won't think of you, and see your beautiful face in my minds eye, and miss you. I love you forever and always.

As long as I have known Elisia (granddaughter of Joan) I have witnessed many phone conversations and wonderful stories about her. Although I never met her in person I am going to miss her. My warmest thoughts, love, and light go out to all friends and family.

Grandma Joan, I always looked up to you. You were such a STRONG, caring woman who had tremendous faith that always inspired me. I am so proud to call you my great grandmother & I hope I can make you proud as your great granddaughter. I wish I could talk to you and hold your hand one more time. You always told me how beautiful I was and I am going to miss your sweet smile so much. Thank you for teaching me to have strong faith in the Lord and also for teaching me that menus are the dirtiest thing in a restaurant! I will cherish the good times and laughs we shared together forever grandma Joan. I know you are peaceful and happy in heaven now. I will see you again someday, I love you.

Great Grandma Joan ~ although I held your hand today for the last time, I know that you weren't truly there. I know for a fact you are in heaven now, free of stress and pain. I will never forget holding your hand or how you always called me "honey" and "baby." I will NEVER forget your smile, it was one of the prettiest smiles I have ever seen. I wish I could call you one last time and tell you how much I looked up to you and love you. Thank you for showing me what unconditional love looks like. You are definitely the strongest woman I know. I picked these pictures because they represent how happy you were, even despite the bad parts of life, and I know you are happy to be resting in paradise with many loved ones and with God. You have passed down many great things to me, one especially being faith. Thank for you that. ? I will see you again someday Grandma Joan, but until then I am so blessed to have you as my guardian angel & I will cherish the fun times we had together forever. :rose::angel::skin-tone-3: Everytime I drink a Coke or eat some See's, I will think of you. I love you, xx

My Bram was not only my grandma but so much more. She and I had a bond that can not be measured. What I miss most is her...is everything about her. She had the best personality, wit, sense of humor, smile, laugh, even her smell. Even in moments of pain and heartache she would find the funny in it. And lets not forget her sass. She was little and meek but a fiesty firecracker and trust me, she was not shy about showing it.
I lost my Bram, my best friend, my heart and soul...but I will be okay because I know she was ready to go home.
......My beautiful Bram, you are now free. You are free from pain and the constraints of old age. Although you are missed by many and we want to keep you with us forever, it's okay that you went home. So rest peacefully my sweet angel. Soar with mom, uncle and papa....one day we will all be together again. Sweet dreams my Bram. I love you.

Grandma Joan~ I have such fond memories of spending time with you through childhood to our recent phone conversations. Whether you were reminding me as a young child to always wash my hands or giving me the best back rubs with your dried out hands (from you over washing yours lol), I have always felt your love. One of my favorites was a glass of iced tea at your house! It was the sugar filled powder stuff and you'd let me put so many scoops in, I would need a spoon at the end to finish enjoying my thick masterpiece. Sounds yucky now but I loved it then. Before Christmas each year, you would give me the big Sears catalog and a pen, and I would circle everything on my wish list.....Then at gift opening time we would all get spoiled as can be!! Unless you were part of the Grandpa Don and Grandma Joan Christmas holiday, you've never experienced the best gift hander outer in Grandpa Don and the best dressing for your turkey like Grandma Joan's.
As I grew in to a woman and mom, you showed me such strength and grace in how you handled the good and the bad we experience in this life. You are the true meaning of unconditional love to all of those you cared about. You were one of the easiest people to talk no matter what the subject, free of judgement, with lots of laughter, and wisdom and faith that I will hold close to my heart forever. I am so blessed to have you as my grandma and great grandma to my girls and thankful for everything you taught us. Words just never feel enough but please know that I love you and I thank you. You created such a great man in my dad and I'm so proud to be his daughter and your granddaughter....
God bless you Grandma Joan and may you rest in peace and be our angel watching over
