Obituary For Jimmie Brown

Jim was born on May 3, 1941 in Poker Bend, OK and entered into rest on January 31, 2020 in Sacramento at the age of 78. He is survived by his beloved wife Natalie Brown of 55 years. Loving father to Wendy Fox (Michael). Caring grandfather to Jacob, Adam, Kristen, Shaylynn, Lincoln and Nyah.

During his lifetime Jim was an athlete, a musician, soldier, supervisor, artist, builder, gardener and craftsman. The titles he cherished most were husband, father, and grandfather. In his last moments on earth he said, “I have had a wonderful life. I am at peace. God is calling me home.” We hope his legacy of kindness lives on in us.

I will always remember Uncle Jim as a "Gentle Giant". He was kind whenever he spoke, but commanding. He would always have wisdom to impart...wasn't really what I Wanted to hear at times, but Always what I needed to hear. To me, he was the Very Best of Grandma and Grandpa, glad he never had to Whip me!! The last thing I ever said to him was "I Love You Uncle Jim"...and he said he Loved me too. Not just in a response, but in a way that told me...We're OK. I Love you Uncle Jim...Always have, Always will. If I act right...I will see you in Glory with Grandpa, Grandma, and all the rest of the Okies. Always, Scotty

Condolences to Natalie, Wendy and grandchildren. Jimmie was a wonderful person, a big teddy bear. Jimmie and I have known each other since second grade at Newark grammar school and all thru Washington high school. Loved by a few, but liked by many. Always quiet, never a cross word about anyone. Jimmie, you will be missed. May your family find peace in memories. Blessed be Jimmie Brown.
