Obituary For Jasoda "Dadi/Nani" Mati Singh
Jasoda passed away peacefully on May 28th, 2017 surrounded by all her loved ones. She is survived by her daughter Tej Kaur Lallian, her sons, Sonny Harpal Singh Uppal and Amar Singh Uppal, 18 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. She was preceded by her two sons, Ranjit Singh Uppal and Rana Pratap Singh Uppal.
Dadi was born on September 19th, 1926 in Raki Raki, Fiji Islands. A few of her favorite things to do were, gambling, swimming, crocheting, partying and storytelling.
Akhand Path Aramb will be held on Tuesday, May 30th, 3pm at Gurdwara Sahib of Fremont, 300 Gurdwara Rd, Fremont, CA 94536. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 31th, 5-8pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. On Thursday, June 1st from 10am-12:30pm a Funeral Service will be held at the mortuary. A witness cremation will follow at Irvington Memorial Crematory, 41001 Chapel Way, Fremont, CA 94538. The family welcomes you for a 2pm service at Gurdwara Sahib of Fremont.

I'm very sorry to hear of your mother's passing Amar. I didn't get the chance to meet her, but it sounds like she lived a rich and fulfilling life surrounded by family. I hope that the many good memories you have of her help you during this difficult time. Sincerely, Dave Witte

Hi Family, We are all saddened by her passing. She was always so full of life. My favorite memory is that we all called her Barfi Nani! Love you guys! -Angie
