On Tuesday, October 6th., 2020, James Ho, loving husband and father of three children, passed away at age 56. His final days were spent surrounded by the family and friends that he loved so much.

James was born on July 21st., 1964 in Taipei, Taiwan. He moved to Wisconsin in 1977 with his older sister. In 1979, he moved to Alameda, California with his mother and three siblings. In 1998, he married Pheobe in Taipei. They raised two daughters, Courtney and Kalie. He has a son, Donovan, from the prior marriage.

James had a heartfelt passion for family, friendship, and fellowship. From his early school days in Taipei to California, and to Texas, he made and surround himself with friends to share his love and laughter.

James was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine Lu, his father, Marvin Ho, and step-mother Gloria Chu. He is survived by his wife Pheobe, his three children Donovan, Courtney, and Kalie, as well as his sisters Judy and Sandra, brother Sam, step-brother Jason, and several uncles, aunties, cousins, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nephews, and nieces.

James and his family devoted much time volunteering at Fo Guang Shan American Buddhist Cultural Society in Fremont. He took refuge in Triple Gem and became a Buddhist on July 4th. 2019

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th., 2020 at the Fremont Memorial Chapel at 10:30 AM. The service is private and live streaming due to the pandemic. James will start his final journey from the chapel on 3723 Peralta Blvd. passing through the house, Buddhist Temple, and park at 12:30 noon.
