Obituaries

Hermie Rivera was born on April 17, 1938 in Baguio City, PI and entered into rest on January 15, 2016 in Fremont, CA at the age 77. He is survived by his sons, Emmanuel Rivera (Bethany), Antonio Rivera, Gerardo Rivera (Stacie) and Herminigildo Rivera; daughter Charina Rivera; brother Melchor Rivera; sister Elnora Rivera; and his grandchildren, Grant, Keana, Louis, Nikolus and Leila. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Maria Christine Rivera Cesano.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 19th from 4-8pm with a Vigil Service at 6:30pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 20th at 10:30am at St. Edwards Catholic Church, 5788 Thornton Ave., Newark, CA 94560. A burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward will follow.
