Obituary For Harry John Meyer

Born in Oakland, raised in Hayward. Graduated Hayward High School Class of 1946. He was class Vice President his senior year! He also participated in football and track. He was in the U.S. Army 1946?47 attaining a Spec 4 rate in the Medical Core. He was awarded the World War 2 Victory Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. Graduated Armstrong Business College in 1950. Married Mary Bazinet on June 30, 1952. They bought a home in Fremont in 1958 where he lived until his death.

Preceded in death by his wife Mary (1988), his father Harry (1939), and his mother Lena (2002). Survived by son Tom and family (wife Carolina and sons TJ, James and Reinel); son Doug and family; son Randall (wife Anna); brother in law Ernie Bazinet; cousins Walter Trobee, Helene Quilic and Lyle Ebert; and many nieces and nephews.

The kindness he showed to his fellow man will be remembered forever! Harry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and son! He and his wife joined the 20/30 club and enjoyed dancing and made many lifelong friends. He loved to play golf and enjoyed watching the A?s, Raiders, and Warriors and boxing. He enjoyed dining at Banchero?s and at Caspers Hot Dogs in Hayward. He also enjoyed all flavors of ice cream especially strawberry.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 13, 11am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 37588 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Inurnment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.
