Known to many as JR, he was a Brother, Father and "Your Favorite Uncle". Jr passed away unexpectedly on the 16th of February. He was born on the 12th of June 1967. He was born in Oakland Ca. then raised in Union City Ca. The second son of four boys, he is well known in the Casa Verde neighborhood. He had many friends who became family. Although challenged with a few health concerns he was upbeat,energetic and optimistic.

When dealing with life's trials and tribulations, his loyalty, compassion and drive kept him afloat. Rather than sink to their depths, he rose above to establish himself as a true giver. His time in New Bridge led him to a better outlook. He became aware of his growth and realized his potential. He was proud to serve his community. Always looking to guide and help others, his work at the Alameda Food Bank accentuated what his life had become. People relied on him. He gave selflessly without question. If he knew you, your safety and protection was important. Not afraid of the consequences,he would come to your defense in a moment's notice.

He will be missed by many, but not forgotten. Godspeed JR
