Obituary For Gloria A. Nite
Gloria Aguilar Nite, age 88, passed away peacefully on November 20th, 2024 with her children by her side.
Gloria was born in Manila, Philippines on September 20th, 1936. She was the eldest daughter of eleven children of Kloreto and Felisa Aguilar. She graduated from high school in Manila, helped her parents raise her siblings and shortly thereafter began working at a law office. In March of 1970, Gloria married Basilio Nite and moved to San Francisco, California a year later to begin their lives together. They had two children Mary Felisse and Basil John. Gloria had a successful career working in the banking industry for many years until her retirement in the late 90’s. Gloria was a devout member of the Catholic faith. She was a member of Saint Anne’s Catholic Church in Union City and the Hayward Santo Nino Prayer Group. She participated in activities maintaining a strong bond with the community and its members over the years.
Gloria was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Basilio Nite, survived by her children Mary Felisse Nite (partner Brian Barneclo), Basil John Nite (wife Danielle) and her three grandchildren Basil Joseph, Alexander Kloreto and Mia Rene whom she adored. They will miss their “Nanay” immensely. Gloria will also be forever remembered by her siblings: Carmelita “Lita”, Leonora “Ona”, Emerita “Emi/Ine”, Corazon “Azon”, Isagani “Sonny/Boy”, Aurora “Ebeth”, Froilan “Boyet”, Liberty “Ate”, (Renato Sr - Deceased, Pedro “Peter” - Deceased) and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
