Obituary For Georgia June LeSire

Georgia June Crownover was born in Oakland California on June 26th, 1926.

She lived her whole life in California, growing up in Oakland. She met and married her husband of 65 years, George Louis LeSire in June of 1945 becoming Mrs. Georgia June LeSire.

They had a daughter, Diane and a son, Jim and moved to Fremont in 1957, remaining there until George died in 2010. On February 12th, of this year, June passed away.

She was known both as Georgia to many and June to many others. To us, she was Mom.

June loved music and was an accomplished pianist. She was a secretary for many years in the private sector as well as through the public school system. She was also a Girl Scout leader and took her troop on many outings and camping trips.

Wanting to be a teacher for many years, she received a teaching degree and taught English and poetry through the adult school system. She also tutored privately.

June loved to travel. She and her husband George enjoyed taking their children on trips all around the country, then later going abroad to Europe, the UK, Mexico, Canada and many other places.

In our mother’s last moments, she said that she had lived a long and full life; that she was old and it was her time to go……and so she did.

June was survived by her daughter, Diane Burns Haussler and son, James R. LeSire; their spouses: Edward Haussler and Maria LeSire; and three granddaughters: Christine, Nicole and Laura. She had one great grandson, Nathan Whitener who passed away at 23 in 2015.

Those who knew her, loved her. We will miss her sweetness, her feistiness and her humor. Vaya con Dios.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 9th, 1pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536.

If you would like to send flowers, please address them to Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536 in our mother's name: Georgia June LeSire.

Thank you for being a part of Mom’s life and supporting my brother Jim and myself through this transition. June was a great lady, loved by many. She will be missed.

Warm Regards, Diane Burns Haussler James R. LeSire

I have known June since the 60's and loved and enjoyed a wonderful relationship with her. She was fun loving and talented and creative and passed her musical gifts onto her daughter Diane. I remember how much she laughed!.. It was priceless... She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. It is with great sadness that she has passed on, but a much deserved reward. She will be greatly missed, Her passing is Earths loss and Heavens Gain. Donna Wait and Family xo
