George Hooper, of Fremont, died peacefully in his home on Thursday, March 22. Born in Rogersville, MO on February 21, 1932, to Margaret O?Grady and LaraHooper, George was an amazing husband and ?PAPA?.

George had countless accomplishments in his 80 years, including the four years he served in the United States Army. But, his greatest accomplishment was the constant love he poured into his family. George had a fairytale 58 year marriage to Sophie (Jaramillo) Hooper. George loved spending time with his family, watching Fox News, and most of all, being with Sophie.

George is survived by his wife Sophie; seven children, Loni Armaz, David Hooper, Darlene Lee, Cindy Pelletier, Debbie Nilsson, John Hooper and George Hooper; 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren...all of whom adored their ?PAPA?.

The viewing will be held on Monday, March 26 at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, from 5-8pm with the Vigil Service at 7pm. The Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, March 27, at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church, 43148 Mission Blvd., Fremont. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward.
