Obituary For Eusebio Manalo Santos

Eusebio Manalo Santos of Fremont, CA, passed away peacefully on March 22,2022 at the age of 80. He is survived by his loving wife Angelina Santos, children Joselito Santos (Gloria), Roberto Santos (Wilma), Dante Santos (Yader Rodriguez), Evelyn Johannesson (Richard) and Ana Grace Retuta (Eric). He was blessed with eight grandchildren (Janel, Jeric, Aaron, Jasmine, Sean, Stefan, Aliza, Daisy) and one great-grandchild (Jamie).

Eusebio was born on December 16, 1941, to Arcadio Santos and Zoila Santos in Taguig City, Philippines. Eusebio was quiet, but was gifted with a voice that spoke volumes. He was humble, but lifted his friends to heights they endeavored. Kind and generous, he gave freely what he had in his care. Beloved by all his friends and family, he showed by example that a successful and happy life is measured not by things accumulated, but by memories built upon hugs, laughter, and joy.

When Eusebio and his wife of 60 years, Angelina, left the Philippines in 1980, they left what was familiar and comfortable to them. The first few years were trying and hard, but they knew they had to pave a better life for their children. And in the 40 years since, Eusebio witnessed how his children and grandchildren thrived, and how they walked the paths of education and opportunity that he wished for them. He knew, as his life approached its sunset, that they learned from him the most valuable and important lessons in life.

We will honor our father, Eusebio, by continually taking care of each other, and by ensuring that our mom will know only kindess, patience, and generosity. It is what he would have wanted, and it is what that would make him happy.
