Obituary For Elvin Anthony Rose
Entered into rest on January 16, 2013 in Fremont, CA at the age of 94. Beloved father of Suzanne Funk, Daniel Rose, Richard Rose, Stanley Rose, Dale Rose, Marvin Rose, and Gordon Rose. Grandfather of 18, and great-grandfather of 9.
Born June 29, 1918 in Alvarado, Elvin was a volunteer fire chief for the town of Alvarado. He was even a founding member of Union City in charge of circulating petition for incorporation. Elvin played golf, and was a longtime member of the Lions Club. He got his pilots license at age 62 and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 20, 1-5pm with a Vigil at 4pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 21, 10am at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 32223 Cabello St., Union City, CA 94587. Reception to follow at the S.D.E.S Hall, 30846 Watkins St., Union City, CA 94587. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 10am at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.

My prayers are with the Rose Family. May your dad rest in peace. I remember all the times seeing him at the Holy Ghost with my in laws doing alot of work.
