He was an amazing cook, an avid reader, & a devout Catholic. He loved a medley of seafoods & homemade banana bread. He was fond of cross-word puzzles, history, & politics. He had a sharp mind, was very strong willed, & determined. In June 2016, he was given only 12 weeks to live because of Stage 4 Liver Cancer. He made it to January 12th, 2017 by the miracle & grace of God. He was 73 years old. The extended time he had was spent rejoicing & embracing life by making wonderful & lasting memories with his loved ones.
Giving was his mantra, an aspect in his life instilled at a tender age by his philanthropic mother. He gave so generously to countless individuals & tremendously impacted their lives for the better.
An empathetic and generous soul he was and sorely missed by many. Rest in peace, Papa, Lolo, Grandpa, Titi, Tiyo, Noy, Engineer, or Brod Ely as he was fondly called.
We love you.
