Born July 19, 1921 in Oakland, CA and entered into rest on February 10, 2014 in Fremont, CA at the age of 92. Beloved mother of Victoria Pearman (Donald, Jr.). Loving mother-in-law of Kathryn Chow. Cherished grandmother of David Chow (AJ), Aaron Choy (Desiree Nora), and Karen Lim (Sherman). Loving great-grandmother to Kaitlyn and Jeremy. Dear sister to Jerry Lew (Ailene), Frank Lew (Annie), Jean Lew, and Florence Lew. Predeceased by her husband: Murray Chow and son: Victor Chow.

Dorothy and her husband, Murray, also known as Joe, owned and operated Smart Cleaners in Berkeley, California for 30+ years.

Dorothy loved to travel, dress-up, garden, play cards and collect magnets. She even took up tap dancing in her later years. She spent many good times at the Berkeley Senior Center with friends.

Dorothy sold her home in Berkeley in 2013. She moved to Fremont, California to be closer to her brother, Frank and wife, Annie. Here she spent the remainder of her life enjoying good times with relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Dorothy on Friday, February 21, from 5-7pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536.
