Obituary For Doreen Frances Gonzalez

Doreen Frances Gonzalez was born December 17, 1957 in Decoto, California. She is preceded into death by her mother Frances Galaviz, her father George Gonzalez and her Tio Joe Lopez. Loving mother to Armando Gonzalez and Monique Gonzalez. Grandmother to Anthony Gonzalez and Alex Gonzalez. Amazing sister to William Gomez, Patricia Rios, Mary Ortiz, Dolores Robledo, Rick Reyes, Martha Almaguer, and Jesse Magana. Wonderful Tia to many nieces and nephews. Always with a hug and a kiss for numerous great nieces and great nephews. She will continue living in the hearts of her Tio Gilbert and his family. Living on in the memories of her Tia Bea Lopez and cousins Rudy Lopez, Joey Lopez, Lenora Zatarain, and Evelyn Lopez-Munoz.

Her young days at James Logan High were filled with ballet folklorico, dances, and many lifelong friends. Her spare time was taken up by her cat, word search books, video games, and of course her hair, nails and make-up. Always found with a contagious smile, a cigarette and a quick comeback. Her sayings you'll still find her family saying to this day.

Even though she went home on March 10, 2014 surrounded by her children, family and friends, she lives on in memories, jokes, smiles, and every time we eat a Scooby Snack.

A Memorial Service will be held for Doreen on Saturday, March 22, 1pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536.

Doreena, I was so sad to hear of your passing. Although I hadn't seen you in years, my memories of you are nothing but good! I remember a fight in front of the church in the 6th grade when you kicked my ass!! Lol!! But I don't even remember the reason of the fight! After that, all good times! I am glad we were friends. R.I.P. Doreena
