Obituary For Daniel Santiago Yapo
Daniel Santiago Yapo was born on June 3, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York and entered into rest on August 10, 2018, at the age of 80 in Castro Valley, CA. Daniel survived by his four children Tracy Gayatin, Tori Yapo, Danny Yapo and Veronica Vind. His four grandchildren Steven Contreras, Mercedes Rodriguez, Nick Clark and Danielle Gayatin. Two great grandchildren Theona Rodriguez and McKenzie Contreras.
Daniel loved taking long walks at the Marina. Daniel was a longtime employee at Reynolds Metals Can plant and he was an Army Veteran.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00PM, Friday, September 7th, 2018, Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd. Fremont. Burial will be Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon 95620.

Danny was a good guy. Myself along with Ron Alves went to taekwondo classes together. We had good times. I want to tell all his family that I'm sorry for their loss. We also worked together for over ten years at the can plant. Friends Tim and Sue Saunders.

I remember Papa teaching me taekwondo. He wasn't just teaching me kicks and punches, he was teaching me discipline and how to be patient. He was a good man with a lot of passion. I love you Papa.
