Obituary For Daniel Anthony Splan
Passed away on Sunday, January 8th, 2017, he was 41. Anthony is survived by his two sons Anthony age 14 and Daniel age 10 and his two daughters Dezeray age 7 and Angelina age 5 of Newark. He is also survived by his mother Carol Sullivan and his step father Gerald of Hayward; siblings: Denise Banda and her husband Frank of Hayward, David Splan and his wife Joanne of Tracy, Erin and Raymond Sullivan of Hayward, Johnny Sullivan of Dublin, and Jerry Sullivan of Martinez; aunts and uncles: Richard Juarez of Newark, James “Jimmy” and Teresa Juarez of Stockton, Rosemary and Steve Baptista of Manteca, and Edmund Kelliher of Alameda; nieces and nephews: Antonia, Alyssa, and Jacob Banda and Stephanie Kesner, Mary, Pauline and Dominic Splan, Damien and Devon Splan; great nieces and nephews: Ayriyana, Antwan and Avery Stevenson, Nylah Bokhari and Major Kesner; and cousins: Chris, Jackie, Patricia, Tim, Rick, Sandy, Cathy, Anna, Tina, Jamie and the Corral family of Stockton.
Predeceased by his brother Dennis Splan of Hayward, his father Daniel Splan of Hayward, his grandparents Alfonso and Pauline Juarez of Newark, and his uncle Pete Juarez.
Anthony attendant Newark Memorial High School and was a Muwekma Ohlone Indian of the S.F. Bay Area. He worked at the Salvation Army and in the restaurant industry. He was a DIE-HARD Oakland Raider & A's fan. He loved to DJ and listen to music. He enjoyed working on cars and bikes. When he was a young boy he played soccer and baseball for the Newark leagues.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 17th, from 5-8pm with a vigil at 6:30pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 18th, 12:30pm at St. Edward's Catholic Church, 5788 Thornton Ave., Newark, CA 94560. Inurnment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.
