Obituaries

Cirila “Lillie” N. Ubaldo, age 83, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at home in El Dorado Hills, Ca. She was born on July 5, 1935 in Caniogan, Rizal, Phillipines to Engracio and Carmen Nolasco. She was a 1954 graduate of Morong High School and later earned a degree in Accounting from College of Commerce and Far Eastern University. She married Jaime Ubaldo and had one son Allan. She began her career as an accountant at Bank of America and joined BART where she worked until she retired at 70 years old. The majority of her life was spent living in Fremont, Ca. She enjoyed traveling, walking, gardening, going to church and spending time with her family. Some of her favorite times out and about were to watch her grandson’s play basketball, meeting her friends at the casinos and watching sports, especially her Golden State Warriors. She is survived by her son Allan, daughter in law Heather, grandchildren, Miles, Owen and Alec, sisters Susan Nolasco Alonzo and Severina Nolasco Santiago as well as many numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, classmates and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jaime, sibilings, Fidela Nolasco Mendiola, Ambrosio Nolasco and Leticia Nolasco Condez. Cirila will be remembered as shining and bright light to all that have come to know her. She was a devoted wife, loyal sister, loving mother, joyful grandmother and generous friend.

Family and friends who would like to celebrate her life are invited to Fremont Memorial Chapel 3723 Peralta Blvd, Fremont, Ca. Viewings will be held on Sunday, June 16, 2019 5-9 pm and Monday, June 17, 2019 5-9 pm, with a vigil service at 6:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 10:00 am St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Union City, Ca. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, Ca.
