Charles “Bebe” Nunez unexpectedly passed away on August 6,2023 at the age of 57. He was a loving son, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin, and cherished friend to many.

He left behind nine children Vanessa, Alejandro, Melissa, Eduardo, Leticia, Savannah, Mariah, Selena, Jose, and has now joined his late son Charles Nunez Jr. in heaven.

“Grandpa Charlie” was adored by his grandchildren Robert, Sean, Allyana, Eddie, Audrina, Ava, Yaretzi, Aiden, Aleena, Ariel, and Azari.

He will be greatly missed by his siblings Ruben and Rebecca Mendoza and was greeted by his eldest brother Eligio “Leddy” Nunez in heaven.

Charles was born in Lovelock, Nevada on April 19,1966 to the parents of Lula Mendoza and Matilde Nunez. He was raised by both Lula and Ruben Mendoza Sr.

As many of you know Charles was a very loving and charismatic individual. He was very outgoing and always willing to help those in need. Charles loved spending time with his family whether it was a family gathering or kickin' back watching a good movie. We are going to miss his crazy stories that would make you smile, laugh, or cry. Charles had friends everywhere, his personality was contagious. If you met him once, chances are you never forgot him whether it was his good looks, charming personality, or his act of kindness and generosity. He was always a shoulder to lean on, an open ear to listen and offered the best advice. He would spend hours getting his hands dirty working on cars, shining his rims and cleaning his shoes. He loved to cruise around bumping his favorite music. He brought joy to those around him with his infectious laughter and warm smile. He made sure to look his best, smell good and always had a clean cut. He enjoyed spending time at the casino and luck was always on his side.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24, 5-8pm and a Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 25, 12pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd. in Fremont.

During this time of profound sadness, let us remember Charles “Bebe” Nunez for the incredible person he was and the beautiful memories he leaves behind. May his soul find eternal peace.
