Obituaries

Born on September 10th, 1936 in Mexico City, Mexico, and entered into rest on March 27th, 2017 in Hayward, California at the age of 80. Predeceased by her parents: Guillermo and Paula Millan; husband, Alfred Anaya in 1991; daughter, Judy Anaya in 1974; and sister, Yolanda Alvarez in 2007. Survived by her children: Ernestine Allen of Issaquah, WA, Irene Chavez of Union City, CA, Elizabeth Milligan of Antioch, CA, Margaret DeCastro of Castro Valley, and Michael Anaya of Mountain View, CA; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her siblings: Gloria Otero of Fremont, CA, Dolores Alburquerque of Sacramento, CA, Ana Guzman of Mexico City, MX, Genoveva Millan of Mexico City, MX, and Guillermo Millan of Livermore, CA; and many nieces, nephews, and caring friends.

Carolina loved being around family, and traveling. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and doing all sorts of crafts.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 2nd, from 12-5pm with a Vigil at 3pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 3rd, 10am at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 703 C Street, Union City, CA 94587. Inurnment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.
